I’m having fun participating in Pat Sloan’s Splendid Sampler–just finished block 10–not shown yet–have to get a picture of it. I’m using my stash — haven’t made up my mind how to put the blocks together yet. I’m sure I will see many great ideas on line as the weeks go by. These blocks come out twice weekly and there will be 100 blocks when finished. You can find information on Pat Sloan’s website.
I’m also doing the Farmer’s Wife quilt with a group from Coastal Quilters, a chapter of the Pine Tree Guild in Maine. Great fun to see blocks from the other members and how different our finished quilts will be using the same blocks. Soon I’ll have more pictures of the completed blocks so far. Did publish some in my last post.
Just spent part of the morning in Bath at Halcyon. So many yarns, so many choices. We went to refresh our supply of rovings for wool felting–and came away with much more than we had planned! Great lunch at a Thai restaurant in Damariscotta, a stop at a quilt shop there (after all, it is Worldwide Quilting day), and home with time left to actually quilt! Great day!
