Quilt Retreats and the Farmer’s Wife Quilt

Two of the latest Farmer’s Wife quilt blocks. Working on number 29 and finding it a challenge.   Had to put it aside and will go back to it at a later time.

I’m attending a weekend  quilt retreat with members of Coastal Quilters, a chapter of the PTQG here in Maine.   We are at the Franciscan Guest House in Kennebunk, Maine–imagine a whole weekend of piecing, quilting, friends, good food, and a short walk to the beautiful Maine shoreline!!    This morning 3 of us took a walk to the beach and ended up going four miles..  Cloudy, cool, misty, but still beautiful.  I particularly enjoyed seeing what everyone was working on and hearing all the happy chatter going on around me.   It is a good group.  Tomorrow it is back to the real world–and that is not such a bad place to be, either!
